Autumn update

The new website is complete and live! We’ve put a lot of work into this and the designer Tim, at Graphic Violence, has done an amazing job.

Probably the hardest part was deciding what to include and what to leave out, as there is just so much to say about the house and things to do in the area. So check out our Facebook page, which will have more suggestions – and please do give us your ideas and tell us what you have enjoyed.

We also had to be very strict with ourselves on what pictures we used and this was even harder than choosing what attractions to list. Keep an eye on our Flickr page for updates and if you want to share any pictures, it would be great to see them. An Instagram feed will go live in the next couple of weeks as well but, in the meantime, those of you who are addicted to Instagram can look at #waitbyschool and see some awesome summer pictures.

Which brings us onto Autumn, one of the most beautiful seasons in the Eden Valley and the Lake District, as the fells and trees turn red and golden and the Lakes are bathed in a softer, more mellow light. The area becomes less hectic and more relaxed as the school holidays end, and the evenings are starting to draw in – ideal for snuggling in front of the woodburning stove.

Some great events are coming up in the area (watch this space for updates) and lots of spooky goings on are being organised around Cumbria for Halloween.

Waitby School has one week available in September, and there is some availability in October – click here for more information.
